Sometimes things go different then expected. The mother squirrel (in your aviary) can die or cant take care of her babies because of a illness. These situations are not fun and sadly we cant change this. What we can do, is with a lot of work and effort raise the babies by hand.

These squirrels come from nature and should be back in nature. With professional help of the squirrel shelter, this is possible.

Wild squirrel may not be taken in by individuals. This is a crime punishable by law.

Either way its not smart to raise wild animals yourself. In a home environment the risk of the squirrel getting too accustomed to humans is too big, and they may not be able to go back to nature.
